One of my highlights from Season 6 of Other Voices. It's Norn iron's own The Answer. The question is why didn't I post this on Patrick's Day like I thought I had?

The very last band added to the Other Voices bill for series 8 and living proof that demo CDs are still listened to by some people - the IMRO Other Room welcomes Low Mountain...

Class is permanent.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating in Dingle. Our advice? Put your hand against the screen!! It's only Spiritualised....

25 years in the waiting and the Church of Saint James rocked to the rafters as the Four Poxmen of the Horslips took to the stage and reminded us all that we might have been young but we surely weren't stupid. So auspicious an occasion was it that Eamon showed up and played. It very seldom, ever, gets better. Unless there maybe is such a thing as a sanity clause.......

This was the last show of their last tour and they were in such superb form. To use a sporting analogy they hit it right out of the park. If you ever get a chance to see Marina live - grab it with both hands!

He came to Dingle in December as a Choice Music Award nominee. He's now the Choice music Award winner for his album 'Season of the Sparks'. Brilliant.

The IMRO Other Room is delighted to present the Choice Award nominated Valerie Francis.

He didn't have the millions of little coloured balls bouncing down Dingle's main street - which really would have been quite the look - but we didn't care. Sweden's finest - José Gonzales...

A native of the Maiden City and an Other Voices old boy - Neil Hannon performs in The Glassworks during the Derry-Londonderry leg of Other Voices Series 11.

Frank Turner. Apparently he's from Wessex you know. Just saying.

Appearing in the IMRO Other Room, complete with mini-megaphone and bags of attitude - The 202's. He speaks Italian I seem to remember. Not a lot of people know that. I think.

She came all the way from Rock Island, Illinois in a "planes, trains and automobiles" sort of a way - well, mostly planes actually, but there were a lot of them - anyway the important part is we really didn't want to let her go. She's fantastic. She's Lissie.

The first offering from the Other Voices sojourn to the Big Apple. Joseph O'Connor reading from his book 'Redemption Falls' segues into Sam Amidon's hauntingly beautiful ballad 'Saro'.

The return of an old friend...

If you're really, really lucky you get to witness something like this once in your life. This was Richard Hawley night in the Church of Saint James and his guets for the evening were his old pal Jarvis Cocker and our old pal Lisa Hannighan and she took this beautiful Mancini/Mercer composition and she ran of with it in a bag marked "SWAG". And for good measure she stole our hearts as well. Again. Enjoy. And then lie and tell people you were there.

Despite Dougie nearly losing his nose on stage in Dublin the night before The Temper Trap came to the Church of Saint James and blew us away. Brilliant.

And So I Watch You From Afar. Up is loud. Louder is better. Everything sounds best in colour.

He arrived fresh in from the frontier where he'd spent several months trapping buffalo and hunting beaver and living in a cave with a big black bear... or something like that... a little treat from the Other Voices trip to New York City, it's only Damien RIce!

He came. He saw. He liked it so much he came back with his full band and songs from his beautiful album, 'Truelove's Gutter'. It's only Richard Hawley....

Their appearance on the main stage of the Glassworks was like a modern reworking of 'A Star is Born'. Manfully stepping up to the microphones to replace the injured Two Door Cinema Club they swept all before them on a tsunami of emotion. And they rocked to boot! Remember where you heard them first - it's Little Bear.

O Emperor kicked off proceedings in the IMRO Other Room and set the standard for what was to come. Their new album 'Hither Tither' is out now and getting well deserved rave reviews. You know what you need to do....
