We’re back on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player for Series 24 of Other Voices 💚
Other Voices is back! Starting this month, we’ll be returning to your TV screens at 11pm on Thursday nights with a brand-new series full to the brim with extraordinary music and conversation. Presented by our faves Annie Macmanus, MayKay, and Huw Stephens, this six-part series showcases a stunning line-up of emerging and established artists from Ireland and beyond, including Dermot Kennedy, Amble, Dry Cleaning, shame, Sorcha Richardson, Miles Kane, The Scratch, Florence Road, and many more.

We’re kicking things off in Episode 1 with a powerful performance from unstoppable folk trio Amble, following a year where they claimed the most streamed album in Ireland with their RTÉ Choice Music Prize nominated Reverie. This first episode also features an Other Voices debut from indie-pop’s rising stars Florence Road, alongside a standout performance by Nigerian-Irish songwriter and producer MOIO over in the IMRO Other Room. We'll also be joined by industry favourite Dove Ellis, fresh from releasing one of 2025’s most critically acclaimed debut LPs, Blizzard. We also take a moment to honour the former President of Ireland and poet Michael D. Higgins, who appeared in West Kerry alongside his collaborator Myles O’Reilly for a surprise set last November.
Across the rest of the series, we’ll be bringing you an exciting mix of genres and artists - from the poetic, hypnotic observations of Dry Cleaning and the electro-punk of Belfast’s CHALK to the electrifying energy of The Scratch. We’ll also be heading to West Wales for a special episode featuring Ye Vagabonds, KhakiKid, RÓIS, Melin Melyn, and more. Plus, we’ll shine a light on some of Ireland’s most exciting new voices from the IMRO Other Room, including Annie-Dog, Seán McKeon, and DUG.

Episode 6, airing on 2 April, is a special tribute to the resonant voice of Dermot Kennedy. As well as footage from his third time in the Church of St James, he sits down with Annie Mac for a heartfelt conversation about his new album The Weight Of The Woods, his instinct for creating closeness on the world’s biggest stages, and the enduring pull that keeps bringing him back to Dingle to play Other Voices.

Reflecting on the return of the series, Other Voices founder Philip King says: "We feel very privileged at Other Voices to continue to capture the continuing stream of remarkable new and diverse Irish music from Dove Ellis to Amble, from MOIO to Seán McKeon and from Florence Road to The Scratch. This year Dermot Kennedy came home to Dingle as did Sorcha Richardson. Michael D. Higgins celebrated the power of the spoken word alongside Myles O’Reilly and Belfast’s CHALK took the road West and for sure the Church of St James is reverberating with their power and passion. This music offers hope for the future and gives us the energy to keep on keeping on."
For host MayKay, the magic of the series remains as fresh as ever:"There just is not another show on TV, anywhere, like it. Every year feels like the first year again! I always think I'll get used to it - to the excitement, the nerves, the anticipation. But that's the beauty of it. When you have brand new acts, or acts that you've seen grow over the years, or a former President of Ireland doing spoken word, in the most beautiful town on earth, how could you ever get used to it. Dove Ellis and The Scratch are my top two this year, but really, it was wall to wall brilliance and joy all round, as usual."
Victor Finn, CEO of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) said “From its beginnings in Dingle, Other Voices has captured something unique about Irish music; its intimacy, its ambition and its global reach. IMRO has supported the series from the outset and we are proud to see how it continues to evolve while all the time staying true to its roots. Supporting initiatives like this is central to IMRO’s role in championing music creators who shape Ireland’s cultural voice.

Other Voices begins on Thursday 26 February at 11pm on RTÉ2 and will be available worldwide on the RTÉ Player.
