SANS SOUCIS

Italian-Congolese rising star Sans Soucis makes their Other Voices debut this week in Cardigan with an enchanting set of genre-blending magic and effortless stage presence. Inspired by the effervescent electronics of Little Dragon, Solange Knowles’s alt-R&B, the emotional edge of Joni Mitchell and the robust pop melodies of Rihanna – Sans Soucis’s world is one overflowing with vibrant musical textures.

THE JOY FORMIDABLE

Welsh rockers The Joy Formidable make a long over due visit to St Mary's Church on this week's show. Splitting their time between their homeland and "the middle of nowhere" in Utah (“in the middle of nowhere”), they get a hero's welcome on this very special debut.

CERYS HAFANA

A truly special moment this week features Welsh triple-harpist Cerys Hafana, ahead of her Dingle debut on the Dingle Distillery Music Trail a few weeks later. Performing in St Mary's Church, the audience were enamoured with the 22-year-old's mind-boggling harp skills and ethereal vocals. Performing songs from her second album Edyf - largely based on material found in the Welsh National Library’s online archive - prepare to hear fragments of Psalm tunes, hymns about doomsday and philosophical musings on the length of eternity, plus with some original compositions.

SUSAN O'NEILL

Clare musician Susan O’Neill is an Other Voices favourite, and for good reason. Having collaborated with Mick Flannery on 2021's award-winning record In the Game, she's no longer Ireland's best kept secret, counting Phoebe Bridgers as a fan. Her performance in St Mary's Church features brand new material, including new single 'Drive'. A songwriter of hidden depths, with a timeless voice that is equal parts balm and blowtorch, you won't want to miss this set.

COLM MAC CON IOMAIRE

A multi-instrumentalist of endless talent and compassion, Colm Mac Con Iomaire's solo work is mesmerising, encompassing the stories of faraway lands and cultures. This week sees him perform a moving piece written after his visit to Occupied Palestine. He recently performed in New York alongside the one and only Sting, so we're grateful he made time to visit Wales!

Catch the quartet performing bangers from their 2022 second album Bato Mato in St Mary's Church, a record inspired by a train journey into the remote rural reaches of Siberia aboard the Trans-Siberian Express. The Libertino Records signees are destined for a big 2024.

YARD ACT

Mewn union bryd i ryddhau eu halbwm newydd sbon Where's My Utopia?, mae’r band o Leeds, Yard Act, yn ymweld ag Aberteifi ar gyfer perfformiad gwych yn Eglwys y Santes Fair. Mae'r pedwarawd a enwebwyd am Wobr Mercury yn chwarae  caneuon o The Overload, eu début astudiaeth cymeriad, ynghyd â senglau newydd 'The Trench Coat Museum', 'Petroleum' a mwy i gynulleidfa wrth eu boddau. Byddan nhw hefyd yn rhannu darn gair llafar newydd sbon, a ysgrifennwyd yn arbennig ar gyfer Lleisiau Eraill Aberteifi.

SANS SOUCIS

Bydd Sans Soucis y seren Eidalaidd-Congolaidd addawol yn ymddangos am y tro cyntaf gydag Other Voices yr wythnos hon yn Aberteifi gyda set gyfareddol o hud sy’n asio genres a phresenoldeb llwyfan diymdrech. A hithau wedi’i hysbrydoli gan electroneg ysgogol Little Dragon, R&B-amgen Solange Knowles, naws emosiynol Joni Mitchell ac alawon pop cadarn Rihanna – mae byd Sans Soucis yn un sy’n gorlifo â gweadau cerddorol bywiog.

THE JOY FORMIDABLE

Ar y sioe yr wythnos hon, bydd y rocwyr o Gymru The Joy Formidable yn ymweld ag Eglwys y Santes Fair. Gan rannu eu hamser rhwng eu mamwlad a “rhywle ymhell o bobman” yn Utah, cânt eu croesawu fel arwyr yn y début arbennig iawn hwn.

CERYS HAFANA

Mae eiliad wirioneddol arbennig yr wythnos hon yn troi o gwmpas y delynores deires o Gymru, Cerys Hafana, cyn ei hymddangosiad cyntaf ar Lwybr Cerdd Distyllfa Dingle ychydig wythnosau’n ddiweddarach. Wrth berfformio yn Eglwys y Santes Fair, cafodd y gynulleidfa ei swyno gan sgiliau telyn syfrdanol a llais cain arallfydol y fenyw 22 oed. A hithau’n perfformio caneuon o’i hail albwm Edyf – sydd wedi’i seilio’n bennaf ar ddeunydd a geir yn archif ar-lein y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol – paratowch i glywed darnau o donau Salm, emynau am ddydd y farn a myfyrdodau athronyddol ar hyd tragwyddoldeb, ynghyd â rhai cyfansoddiadau gwreiddiol.

SUSAN O'NEILL

Mae’r cerddor o Clare, Susan O’Neill, yn un o ffefrynnau Other Voices, a hynny am reswm da. Ar ôl cydweithio â Mick Flannery ar yr albwm gwobrwyedig In the Game yn 2021, nid cyfrinach orau Iwerddon mohoni bellach, ac mae’n cyfrif Phoebe Bridgers fel ffan. Mae ei pherfformiad yn Eglwys y Santes Fair yn cynnwys deunydd newydd sbon, gan gynnwys y sengl newydd 'Drive'. Mae gwaith unigol Colm Mac Con Iomaire, aml-offerynnwr sydd â thalent ac empathi di-ben-draw, yn gyfareddol, ac yn cwmpasu straeon am diroedd a diwylliannau pell. Yr wythnos hon, bydd yn perfformio darn teimladwy a ysgrifennwyd yn dilyn ei ymweliad â Phalesteina dan Oresgyniad. Perfformiodd yn Efrog Newydd yn ddiweddar ochr yn ochr â'r enwog Sting, felly rydym yn ddiolchgar iddo am neilltuo amser i ymweld â Chymru!

KING CREOSOTE

Ac yntau wedi ymuno â ni yn Dingle yn y gorffennol, yr wythnos hon mae'r cerddor o Fife, Kenny Anderson, yn galw heibio i Eglwys y Santes Fair ar gyfer ei ymddangosiad cyntaf yn Lleisiau Eraill Aberteifi! ADWAITH
Mae Adwaith y rocwyr-indi o Gaerfyrddin wedi dod â’u cerddoriaeth Gymraeg i’r brif ffrwd a nhw yw’r band cyntaf i ennill y Wobr Gerddoriaeth Gymreig ddwywaith. Gwyliwch y pedwarawd yn perfformio caneuon mawr o’u hail albwm Bato Mato yn 2022 yn Eglwys y Santes Fair, albwm a gafodd ei ysbrydoli gan daith trên i ardaloedd gwledig anghysbell Siberia ar fwrdd y Trans-Siberian Express. Mae 2024 yn mynd i fod yn flwyddyn fawr i’r band sydd wedi llofnodi i Recordiau Libertino.
