Fresh names for St James’, plus Banter & the App

Fresh names for St James’, plus Banter & the App

November 24, 2025

It’s the Monday before Other Voices, and the countdown to Dingle is suddenly very real. No better time to share some of the final names joining the Church line-up, who to expect at Banter, and a few more bits besides!

We're so excited to bring you such a wonderfully wide-ranging and amazingly talented group of artists, all hand-picked for their creativity, their heart, and that special something.

CHALK

Belfast-based duo CHALK bring an electrifying mix of techno-infused industrial punk. Since forming in 2022 they’ve moved fast – selling out their debut UK/Ireland tour and supporting acts such as Fontaines D.C., IDLES and Sprints. Their Conditions Trilogy fuses gritty techno, post-punk and jagged guitars to create a vivid live experience.

JESSY BLAKEMORE

London newcomer JESSY BLAKEMORE brings glowing vocals and intimate alt-R&B. Her debut EP if you need me, i’m a few missed calls away has already marked her out. Tender songwriting, honest voice – she's a stand-out.

TRAVY

Nigerian-born and Ireland-raised, TRAVY has made waves with DOGHOUSE and Full Circle (No. 1 and No. 2 in Ireland), and his 2025 solo project SPOOKY also reached No. 1. He’s one of the most consistent and exciting voices in Irish rap right now.

SHAME

Still in their twenties but already formidable, five childhood friends in Shame arrive in Dingle with a growing body of bold, ambitious work. They’ve built a reputation for live shows that are full of energy and intent, and their new record Cutthroat pushes them somewhere new again. If you're coming down for the weekend, you'll also be able to experience Shames electric energy at the Jameson Green St Stage on Saturday night!

These acts will join the previously announced Dermot Kennedy, Sorcha Richardson, Dove Ellis, Dry Cleaning, Amble, The Scratch and Florence Road, all streamed live and online via the Other Voices YouTube channel. For anyone joinging us down in Dingle, you'll be able to catch the streams in Benner's Hotel each night.

Banter at Foxy John's

One of the weekend’s most beloved fixtures, Banter with Jim Carroll returns to Foxy John’s for two days of intimate fire-side chats with a varietry of interesting voices.

This year, Jim will be chatting to...

Michael Moynihan, Associate Editor, Irish Examiner

Nuala O’Connor, Writer & Documentary Filmmaker
