Other Voices: The Ins and Outs

Other Voices: The Ins and Outs

February 4, 2014

We've just added The Bohicas to the line-up for Saturday 8th February at Other Voices Derry~Londonderry. Fresh from their Franz Ferdinand support slot in Ibiza, the Domino-signed Londoners are planning a night of ambitious and arresting rock 'n' roll at The Glassworks.

On another note, let us introduce you to 'Local Voices', a new addition to the Music Trail. Local Voices is taking the music out in to the neighbourhoods of the Derry City Council area allowing people to engage in the Outer Voices experience from the 5th to 8th of February. People can head to their local cafe, shop, community centre, youth centre or shopping centre and find a range of local talent providing great performances. For more details, click here.

The Other Voices Music Trail kicks off on Thursday night in Sandino's with a special gig from Annie Mac. The trail will then continue for the rest of the weekend with hundreds of performances from bands from across Ireland, ensuring that there is something for everyone. For full details of acts and venues there will be programmes available at locations across the city or online.

The Glassworks performances will be streamed live to a number of venues in the city including Sandino's, Bound for Boston, Masons Bar, The Gweedore, Cafe Nervosa at the Nerve Centre, The Derby Bar, Tinney's, Bennigan's and Grand Central Bar. If you don’t make it to Derry~Londonderry this weekend you can watch online via www.rte.ie/othervoices, the RTÉ Player and The Guardian.

Tickets to the Glassworks are free and can be won through various online and media competitions so keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter for details. Tickets will also be available across the weekend at various events on The Music Trail, Banter Salon and Local Voices events.
