Other Voices Dingle 2026: 25 Bliain Ag Fás

October 19, 2026

27–29 November 2026 | Dingle, Co. Kerry

The Waterboys, Gilla Band, Julia Jacklin, Lambrini Girls, Knats and Brìghde Chaimbeul lead the first Church announcement as Other Voices returns home to Dingle for its 25th anniversary this Winter, with more artists to be revealed in the coming weeks.

‍

There’s a certain kind of magic that happens in Dingle at the end of November. The Atlantic rolls in, the lights glow in the windows, the music spills out onto the streets and, for a few days, the whole town becomes one big gathering place for song and story.

This November, Other Voices returns home to Dingle from 27 – 29 November to celebrate 25 years of Draíocht sa Ríocht, or Magic in the Kingdom. A quarter of a century of unforgettable performances, unexpected discoveries and extraordinary moments, all gathered under one very small roof.

And what better way to celebrate 25 years than with the first six artists announced for the hallowed stage of St. James’ Church?

Six artists. One sacred stage.

THE WATERBOYS · GILLA BAND · JULIA JACKLIN · LAMBRINI GIRLS · KNATS · BRÌGHDE CHAIMBEUL & more to be announced

From anthemic folk-rock to uncompromising noise, intimate songwriting to riotous punk, these six artists are the first names on the bill for this year’s Church recordings. With more acts still to be announced, there’s plenty more to come!

Few bands have written the west of Ireland into their DNA quite like The Waterboys. From the mythic sweep of Fisherman's Blues to the forever-anthem that is The Whole of the Moon, Mike Scott and company have soundtracked generations. We cannot wait to welcome them back to St. James’ Church to help us ring in our 25th anniversary.

Dublin’s Gilla Band have spent the last decade tearing up the rulebook for guitar music. Loud, abrasive, unpredictable and completely their own thing, they’ll bring their uncompromising sound to the intimate surroundings of the Church. With their critically acclaimed new album Pugnello out in the world, we can’t wait to welcome them back to St James’ for the third time.

Australian singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin has a gift for songs that are wry, tender and devastatingly honest. Her St. James’ debut promises to be one of those moments that stops a room in its tracks. Following the release of her beautiful new LP The Gem, Julia joins us in West Kerry for the very first time this November.

Brighton punks Lambrini Girls don't do subtle. Furious, funny and fiercely political, their riotous live shows are not to be missed. Dingle won't know what hit it when they make their OV debut.

Newcastle jazz collective Knats pair bass and drums with irresistible grooves, swagger and a whole lot of joy. Knats have established themselves as the face of the “Geordie Jazz” movement, blending the intricate jazz instrumentation with working-class Tyneside themes. We can’t wait to welcome them to the church.

And from the Isle of Skye, Brìghde Chaimbeul takes the Scottish smallpipes in unexpected directions, weaving traditional tunes with drones and intricate textures to create something entirely transportive. She returns to Dingle after a stand out performance in The IMRO Other Room many moons ago.

These are just the first six artists announced for St. James’ Church, with more names to be revealed in the coming weeks.

The Jameson Music Trail returns

If St. James’ Church is the beating heart of Other Voices, the Jameson Music Trail is where the whole town comes alive.

Philip King, Founder of Other Voices:

“When we began Other Voices in the little Church of St James on Dingle’s Main Street, little did we think this notion of taking a photograph of Ireland’s musical life would endure for 25 years.

“Much has changed in that quarter century and the artists and musicians in all of their diversity, who have traveled to the Dingle, have given us a store of songs: a soundtrack of what it feels like to live in a world of profound change.

“We owe those 25 years to a number of agencies, to our supporters and the magnificent team who bring Other Voices from Dingle to the world. We look forward to welcoming you at the end of November to share in this special year.”
