Other Voices Dingle: Wunderhorse, Laura Marling, Lisa O'Neill and more announced for St James' Church‍

October 16, 2024

Other Voices are heading back to our beloved Dingle homestead from November 29-December 1, with an incredible array of domestic and international talent announced for St James' Church and the IMRO Other Room.

The Other Voices family are thrilled to be flying back to beautiful Dingle later this year ⛪

We'll be live and online from West Kerry between 29 November and 1 December to mark our 23rd edition with another spell-binding weekend of songs, stories and spraoi 💫

St James' Church is always a magical affair, but this year looks set to be one of our best bills so far.

The brilliant Laura Marling will be dazzling us with her one-of-a-kind ethereal vocals, delivering fresh tracks from her new album Patterns in Repeat. The English artist wrote, recorded, and produced the project in her London home studio. Patterns in Repeat, created after the birth of her daughter in 2023, reflects on family dynamics and generational behaviours. OV are honoured to host Laura at #OVDingle 2024, following the October 25th album release.

Following the recent release of their second studio album Midas, UK rockers Wunderhorse will make their Dingle debut at St James' Church. The four-piece grunge act have come a long way since forming in 2020, evolving to a quartet after frontman Jacob Slater originally started the project solo. 2022's first record Cub cemented their hype status, along with support slots for the likes of Pixies and OV favourites Fontaines D.C.

The international names may be impressive, but Ireland's musical mná are a force to be reckoned with. Up first, folk powerhouse Lisa O'Neill.

Following 2019's EP The Wren and performance in Patrick Kavanagh's The Great Hunger at The Abbey Theatre, the Cavan native unveiled her incredible fifth album All Of This Is Chance on Rough Trade in February 2023 to rave reviews. O'Neill's anticipated, intimate set in St James' Church will surely be one for the Dingle annals.

Morgana's solo project has amassed an eager following, with sold-out shows in Dublin, New York and London, Belfast and packed rooms at Other Voices. Morgana's solo venture is a tapestry of her influences, with threads of Italo disco and electronic pop interwoven with her signature vocal style. She sets the stage for an experience that oscillates between euphoria and catharsis, promising listeners not just a performance, but a journey. Her music is an invitation: prepared to party, ready to cry. This October, Morgana will release her hotly anticipated debut single.

Rachael Lavelle, another Other Voices long-standing gem, is finally playing St James' Church for the first time - and we couldn't be happier.

The Dublin born singer and composer captivates audiences with her magnetic voice and humorous observations on existence. Merging classical and contemporary influences, the talent unveiled her debut album Big Dreams was released in September 2023 and earned a Choice Music Prize nomination. Swirling, angelic vocals and uncanny notes on the everyday - Rachael's unique style creates a performance art like no other.

IMRO Other Room

The St James' Church lineup may be star-studded, but the IMRO Other Room is also back with a bang of rising Irish and international talent.

Irish-Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Shiv will drop her long-awaited debut album the defiance of a sadgirl on October 17th, having teased the release with a Kojaque collaboration 'Cherry Pie' - produced by Soft Boy Records' GAPTOOF. Shiv's smooth genre-blending soundscapes are immersive, rich in soul and full of memorable hooks. Expect a dazzling set for her IMRO Other Room debut in Dingle.

Curtisy is no stranger to Dingle, having performed on the Music Trail back in 2023. The distinctive Tallaght rapper released his debut album, What Was the Question, back in early May. He's collaborated with the likes of Rory Sweeney, Ahmed, With Love and even Kojaque on a remix - who he cites as a key inspiration.

Last but certainly not least is Meath musician Ellie O'Neill. The Ratoath songwriter is hard at work on a body of songs for her first full-length album, but she frequently explores vulnerable subject matter with a maturity and tenderness well beyond her years. The IMRO Other Room will mark O'Neill's first time on the Dingle stage; it's guaranteed to be enchanting.
