Samantha Crain from Oklahoma is the surprise last act added to the St. James line up for Sunday 8th December. Samantha’s third full-length album ‘Kid Face’ which will be released in January 2014 is as intimate as a conspiratorial whisper. She recorded and mixed it in just nine days in John Vanderslice’s San Francisco studio. This original album stands as a statement from an uncommonly insightful, fearlessly honest young singer/songwriter.

Sadhbh O’Sullivan aka Sive is the sixth artist to join the IMRO Other Room, after a huge response on the RTÉ website to select the viewer’s choice for Dingle 2013. She first began to delve into songwriting when she was around fifteen. When she finished school she went to Ballyfermot College to study music and that’s where she met most of her current bandmates.

Last year she released her debut album ‘We Are Moving’.

Pinhole, Slow Skies, Other Creatures, Vann Music and Grim are the other five bands who will appear in the IMRO Other Room for the twelfth season.

Pinhole emerged recently from 9 months of intensive work in their laboratory to an astonishing reception. Their quirky and refreshingly different approach to music makes them quite unique. From the most delicate melodies to raw mayhem, Pinhole delivers a candy bag of true delights.

Vann Music is an Irish New Wave Electro pop band formed in Dublin 2012. Vann Music combines elements of Dance, French House Music and pop.

Slow Skies started out as the musical musings of singer/songwriter Karen Sheridan. Having met Conal Herron, producer/musician, in music college in London, the pair decided to start working together. They released their first EP ‘Silhouettes’ in the summer of 2012. This year the release of ‘Close’ gained traction across many music blogs and topped hype machine.

Other Creatures are a Dublin- based trio with a classic indie and alternative pop sound. A hugely promising band well worth seeing live. They formed a year ago and started playing venues such as Whelan’s and the Mercantile. They are obsessed with the music of the Pixies, Pavement, Elliott Smith among many others.

Grim a Derry-based singer/songwriter producer renowned for his mix of blues, electronica, industrial, stomp, rock and jazz has made 2013 his year with the single "Little Fizz" which was followed, later in the year, by his album "Mere Machines". He has already been involved in Other Voices when he performed at the Derry Music Trail in February 2013.

The IMRO Other Room will be recorded on Monday 9th December and will air on RTÉ Two next Spring.
