Ireland's Edge - The Podcast Series 2

After another tumultuous year, Ireland's Edge is back with a new series of mind-opening discussions about the altered state of the world, which continues to consider culture, power and representation

This eight-episode series, produced by Ireland’s Edge under parent production company South Wind Blows, will cover everything from the climate crisis to data privacy, and psychedelic drugs to NFTS, with guests including Guardian US editor John Mulholland, writer Séamas O’Reilly, Dr Roberta Murphy and global energy expert Dr Michael Dorsey.

Hosted by academic and historian Christopher Kissane, the series is based on recordings adapted from conversations, debates and spoken word performances at the annual Ireland's Edge event last December and was filmed during Other Voices Fiche Bliain Ag Fás.

Episode 1. LIVING ROOM

The new season kicks off with Episode 1. Living Room, which considers the country’s chronic housing crisis in the company of three of Ireland’s most prominent voices on the issue, all of whom have “taken up arms” to tackle the crisis and bring about change. Rory Hearne, Assistant Professor of Social Policy at Maynooth University; Orla Hegarty, Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin; and architect Rob Curley consider how our housing system became so broken, and what we can do to fix it.
