We are thrilled to welcome Aidan Gillen back to Other Voices to co-present the 13th series of the show. Following a successful collaboration at Electric Picnic we are delighted to also have BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens joining us in Dingle. Huw will co-present Other Voices Series 13 with Aidan Gillen from the 12th-14th of December.

Aidan Gillen

Aidan Gillen is an Irish actor best known for his roles such as Stuart Allen Jones in Channel 4’s Queer as Folk, Tommy Carcetti in HBO’s The Wire, Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish in the Game of Thrones and for playing John Boy Power in Irish TV show Love/Hate. Aidan has been nominated for the British Academy Television Award, the British Independent Film Award and a Tony Award. He is the recipient of two Irish Film and Television Awards.

Aidan has presented Other Voices since Series 9 in 2010.

Huw Stephens

Huw presents radio shows on BBC Radio 1 Monday – Wednesday nights at 10pm. His passion for discovering and championing new music was spotted at only 17 when he joined Radio 1 for its Nations output to reflect the music scene in Wales. Following in the footsteps of the late John Peel, Huw became a national presenter on BBC Radio 1 in 2005, as the front man of the OneMusic. Huw also curates the BBC Introducing Stage, which showcases emerging artists at some of the biggest festivals in the world including SXSW, Reading and Glastonbury.

Here's what Huw had to say about coming to Dingle: "After witnessing the first Other Voice Stage at Electric Picnic earlier this year, I'm so excited to be coming to Dingle. Not for the first time, as me and my sister went there on holiday when I was ten years old, and I spent all our travelling money on ice cream. But to come to Dingle properly, with the excellent line up again this year, I fell very lucky indeed."

Huw has been nominated for various awards such as the Bafta Cymru award. He also runs is own festival called ‘Swn’ in Cardiff that takes place in venues across the city to highlight up and coming talent.
