The Flaws

Although only 300 copies of The Flaws' first release - a self-titled, self-financed four-track EP released during the summer of 2005 - ever saw the light of day, it won them many admirers. Their songs '16' and 'Idolise' got national airplay on Today FM with presenter Alison Curtis describing '16' as "brilliant, one of the best Irish tracks of 2005".After a successful set at the Hard Working Class Heroes festival, the Monaghan four-piece subsequently signed to Polydor and its Irish sister label, Sound Foundation Recordings, late in 2005. They released the single 'No Room' in March 2006, received much praise from the critics and took part in the Nokia New Music Tour in June 2006 alongside Director, The Marshals and The Blizzards. As well as working hard in Dundalk's Tumbleweed Studios on their debut album over the last half of 2006, The Flaws also embarked on a series of Irish dates, including a Club NME headliner and tours with The Immediate, Polytechnic, Delorentos and, again, Director. With their album due out early this year, The Flaws are a band to watch for in 2007.
