RTÉ Two from Sunday March 30th 2014 10:30 PM
The 12th season of Other Voices airs on RTÉ Two, Sunday 30th March at 10:30pm and we’re kicking it off with a bang. Programme 1 will feature music and conversations with The Gloaming, William Doyle aka East India Youth, Hozier and newcomer Rosie Carney. In the IMRO Other Room are The Clameens and Slow Skies.
We began shooting Series 12 of Other Voices last December in its spiritual home of St James’ Church, Dingle. In February we travelled north to The Glassworks in the singing city of Derry for the second year running.
We witnessed intimate performances from well known artists including David Gray, John Grant, Mogwai, Agnes Obel, George Ezra, Patty Griffin, Bell X1, Colm Mac Con Iomaire and David Arnold. We introduced new artists such as Samantha Crain, Rosie Carney, Little Matador, The Amazing Snakeheads, Willis Earl Beal, Josef Salvat, The Bohicas, Lulu James and also gave a platform for rising stars Hozier, The Gloaming, Lisa O’Neill, East India Youth, Public Service Broadcasting, Asgeir, Polica, Walking on Cars and Foy Vance.
Starting on March 30th, presenter Aiden Gillen will take you on a musical adventure through a broad range of music coupled with insightful conversations and unique acoustic performances.
