November 18, 2024

The St James' Church bill is even more stacked with the second wave of names announced today!

Featuring: Been Stellar, Bashy, Fionn Regan, Jacob Alon, Nubya Garcia and Landless.

Other Voices is thrilled to unveil the second wave of exceptional artists set to join us in West Kerry from November 29th to December 1st.

For the 23rd edition of this iconic festival, Dingle will welcome New York band BEEN STELLAR, UK rapper and storyteller BASHY, Bray native FIONN REGAN, Scottish singe-songwriter JACOB ALON, British jazz artist NUBYA GARCIA and Irish vocal quartet LANDLESS to the beautiful St James' Church.

The latest names build on the excitement of our first announcement, which revealed the ethereal LAURA MARLING, UK rockers WUNDERHORSE, folk powerhouse LISA O’NEILL, the magnetic RACHAEL LAVELLE, and pop sensation MORGANA.

Nubya Garcia by Danika Lawrence.

BEEN STELLAR have been turning heads with their gritty, guitar-driven sound and powerful storytelling. The New York-based group are celebrated for their raw fusion of post-punk energy and indie rock swagger that captures the visceral highs and lows of urban life. Their highly anticipated performance at Other Voices will surely be one of the festival’s most anthemic highlights.

West Sussex-born, New York-based artist ANOHNI rose to fame as the lead singer of Ahoni and the Johnsons. Their debut solo album, Hopelessness, was released in May 2016 to wide critical acclaim, including a second nomination for the Mercury Music Prize. In 2023, as Anohni and the Johnsons, the artist released her ground-breaking sixth album, My Back Was a Bridge for You to Cross. The Academy Award nominee (born to Irish parents)will surely light up St James' Church with her incredible presence.

FIONN REGAN has fine-tuned a sensibility of his own since the acoustic poetry of his debut album, 2006’s Mercury-shortlisted The End of History. Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy featured in the video for 2017’s 'The Meeting of the Waters' while elsewhere Regan has been nominated for Choice Music Prize, sampled by Bon Iver and photographed by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair. His 2024 album O Avalanche has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

British rapper, singer, and songwriter BASHY is known for his sharp lyricism and socially conscious storytelling. Rising to prominence in the UK grime and hip-hop scenes, Bashy has built a reputation for his powerful verses, thought-provoking themes, and distinctive blend of rap, reggae, and R&B influences. We're thrilled to welcome him to Dingle!

Also new to the lineup is JACOB ALON, the Scottish singer-songwriter with a profound gift for narrative. Both intimate and devastatingly introspective, their music is touched by a rare timelessness. Alon’s sound cuts through the air with haunting vocals that will transport St James’ Church audience into a world of melancholy beauty.

Jazz maestro NUBYA GARCIA is a saxophonist, producer, composer and arranger from Camden. A critically acclaimed multi-award winner, she has toured worldwide to sold-out audiences. As a composer, Garcia’s music can be heard on multiple shows including Ted Lasso and Atlanta.

Joining them is LANDLESS, the acclaimed Irish vocal ensemble whose intricate four-part harmonies and deeply evocative renditions of traditional songs from Ireland, Scotland, and beyond have earned rave reviews. Their performance will offer a poignant glimpse into the power of voice and tradition, perfectly suited to St. James' Church.
