We’re delighted to team up once again with the Home of Guinness for the sixth edition of Other Voices: Home, taking place at the Guinness Storehouse on Tuesday 16 December at 7.30pm.
This year’s event carries special significance as we mark the dovetailing of our shared 25th anniversaries. Together, we’ll gather for an intimate evening of songs, stories and spoken word, all curated around the theme of ‘Home’ and celebrating two quarter-centuries of supporting creativity, culture and community.
Set within the festive, historic surrounds of St. James’s Gate, the 2024 edition will showcase a blend of established and emerging Irish and international voices.

Rachel Chinouriri
One of Britain’s brightest breakout stars, Rachel Chinouriri has quickly become one of the UK’s most acclaimed young songwriters. Her 2024 debut album What A Devastating Turn Of Events landed in the UK Top 20 and earned her two BRIT Award nominations, adding to earlier nods from the Ivors, Rolling Stone UK and BBC Sound Of. This year has seen her continue to rise – supporting Sabrina Carpenter’s UK + Europe arena tour, selling out and upgrading her debut US headline run, making her Today Show debut, and drawing huge festival crowds from Glastonbury to All Things Go. Her new EP Little House broadens her artistic palette, while recent collaborations include PinkPantheress, Rizzle Kicks and Florence Pugh, who starred in her video for ‘Never Need Me’. With more than 425 million streams and the unwavering support of her fanbase, the Darlings, Chinouriri is leading a new wave of incisive, distinctive indie pop.

SPRINTS
Dublin quartet SPRINTS return with their powerful second album All That Is Over, building on the momentum of their acclaimed debut Letter To Self. Having toured the UK, Europe and America twice in 2024, sold out London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and earned praise from NME, Pitchfork, DIY, Stereogum, PASTE and BBC Radio 1, the band enter their next chapter sounding sharper, bolder and more assured than ever. The new record pushes their sound into richer, more dynamic territory while holding onto the visceral energy that defines their live shows, shaped by a period of intense change – from line-up shifts to breakups, new beginnings and a world that feels increasingly on fire. Lead single Descartes sets the tone: a fierce, clear-eyed reclamation of voice and understanding in a chaotic landscape. Written on the road and produced again by Daniel Fox, All That Is Over captures SPRINTS at full tilt – fearless, unfiltered and firmly cementing their place as one of Ireland’s most exciting bands.

Lisa Hannigan & The Theodora Byrne Trio
A singular voice in Irish music, Lisa Hannigan has spent the past 18 years crafting a body of work that moves between the intimate, the cinematic and the quietly spellbinding. From her acclaimed debut Sea Sew – nominated for both the Choice Prize and the Mercury Prize – through the richly emotional Passenger and the deeply atmospheric At Swim, Hannigan has earned a reputation as one of Ireland’s most expressive and versatile singer-songwriters. Her 2019 collaboration with the contemporary-classical ensemble s t a r g a z e, Live in Dublin, further expanded her sound into something immersive and orchestral, leading to sold-out shows from New York to the National Concert Hall. Following a celebrated run of performances this past year, she continues to tour in 2025 – and for this Other Voices: Home appearance, she’ll be joined by The Theodora Byrne Trio for a very special collaborative set.
Led by Irish soprano and composer Theodora Byrne, this trio is known for its warm, close-harmony vocals that gently weave together contemporary classical and folk traditions. They’ve become cherished collaborators across Ireland’s stages, bringing a depth and magical warmth to every performance. Their work with Lisa Hannigan has grown into something truly special – adding a choral texture that lifts her songs into an even more intimate and atmospheric space.

Brògeal
One of the most talked-about new folk acts on these islands, Brògeal bring a rambunctious, irresistibly joyful blend of Celtic folk, indie energy and Gen Z sensibility. Their debut album Tuesday Paper Club – a riot of accordion, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin and penny whistle recorded at the remote Black Bay Studio on the Isle of Lewis – showcases a band who can laugh, sing and stomp their way through the chaos of the 21st century. Hailing from Falkirk and forged through a true DIY journey, the five-piece have built a reputation as one of Britain’s most thrilling live bands, drawing delirious crowds of all ages and earning praise from Rolling Stone UK, The Independent, NME, Clash, Dork, So Young and more. With packed tours across the UK and Ireland, support slots with The Mary Wallopers, Paolo Nutini and The Lathums, and festival appearances from TRNSMT to Wilderness, Brògeal’s foot-stomping, communal anthems are fast becoming a shared language all of their own.

Paula Meehan
One of Ireland’s most celebrated poets, Paula Meehan was born and raised in Dublin’s north inner city and has spent a lifetime shaping language into work that resonates across generations. Her award-winning poetry has been set to music, adapted for choirs and dance, made into films, and taught in classrooms and universities throughout the country. A former Ireland Professor of Poetry (2013–2016), her public lectures from the Chair were published as Imaginary Bonnets with Real Bees in Them. Recent collections include As If By Magic: Selected Poems (2020) and The Solace of Artemis (2023), the latter receiving the Pigott Prize for Poetry. A writer of deep lyricism, clarity and compassion, Meehan remains a vital voice in contemporary Irish literature.
Our dear friend MayKay will return to guide us through the evening.
