Tapestri

Tapestri is a band sparked by a chance meeting between Welsh singer-songwriters Lowri Evans and Sarah Zyborska (SERA) at Festival Interceltique de Lorient in the summer of 2019 where they were both performing as solo artists at the Welsh Pavilion.

Fuelled by their passion for folk and Americana music and the desire to form a bilingual female-fronted band, they soon after started carving out songs that take their musical colours from a broad palette that includes Folk, Country, Americana and Roots. Their voices instantly found a connection and developed a harmonious sound, likened to that of sibling duos.

Cyfarfod ar hap arweiniodd at ffurfio’r band Tapestri. Yn haf 2019, cyfarfu’r cantorion-cyfansoddwyr o Gymru Lowri Evans a Sarah Zyborska (SERA) yn Festival Interceltique de Lorient lle’r oedd y ddwy yn perfformio fel artistiaid unigol ym Mhafiliwn Cymru.

Gyda brwdfrydedd dros gerddoriaeth werin ac Americana a’r awydd i ffurfio band dwyieithog gyda menywod wrth y llyw yn eu symbylu, aethant ati’n fuan wedi hynny i ddechrau ysgrifennu caneuon sy’n tynnu eu lliwiau cerddorol o balet eang, gan gynnwys Canu Gwerin, Canu Gwlad, Americana, a Roots. Daeth eu lleisiau o hyd i gysylltiad yn syth gan ddatblygu perseinedd, yn debyg i hynny a geir mewn deuawdau brodyr a chwiorydd.
