Shakey Graves

Billing himself only as "a gentleman from Texas," Shakey Graves' monumental rise into the spotlight has always been shrouded in mystery. The on-stage persona of Austin native Alejandro Rose-Garcia, Shakey Graves began as a private creative outlet. His folky, esoteric bedroom recordings quickly developed a cult following, and he soon began performing live as a one-man band, with a knack for storytelling and an enigmatic stage presence that immediately draws listeners into his strange narrative world. With the release of his recent album "And The War Came" on Dualtone Records, Shakey Graves has become something much bigger. Now joined on stage by a backing band, Shakey Graves is selling out major venues around the country, has appeared on Conan, Letterman and Seth Myers, taped an episode of Austin City Limits, and recently won the Americana Music Association's "Emerging Artist of the Year" award.
