Sárán Mulligan & Muirine Nic Roíbín

Sárán Mulligan and Muirine Nic Róibín are a folk duo based in Dublin whose music is characterised by its innovation and energy. Blending concertina with fiddle and clarinet, they create a smooth sound with rich textures and considered harmonic choices.

Numbers, patterns, and landscapes often form a basis for their tunes and arrangements as they draw from traditional roots while exploring new sounds.

Sárán and Muirine perform regularly at home and abroad, most recently at the Sean Corcoran Series 2025 and in the Unitarian Church at Stephen’s Green.
