Nixer

Nixer is a project born out of isolation in 2020. What started as an online collaboration between two friends producing and writing from their bedrooms in Dublin and London, has now grown to become a dynamic live show packed with unmatched energy and sculptured chaos. The now London-based duo make electro/new wave inspired music, aware that their heady electronic grooves aren’t quantifiable using current genre labels. With 5 singles and a debut six-track EP titled ‘PEOPLE FEEL’ under their belt, Nixer make their boot marks on the scene with a raw synth driven sound that is unapologetically Irish. Early on coined as “Éire Wave”, Nixer articulately describe their set up as “synthy electro stuff” (Gearóid Peggs) combined with lyrics, vocals and guitar (Seán Keenan). This concoction has earned a co-sign by Iggy Pop and been enthusiastically endorsed by BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 1, RTÉ, CLASH Magazine, NTS Radio, KEXP, FOURFOURMAGAZINE, and Hot Press Magazine amongst others.
