MayKay

A dynamic and broadly experienced musician, singer, songwriter, voice over artist and presenter, with almost 20 years of experience in the music and entertainment business, MayKay has made her mark across several creative fields.

As the lead singer and songwriter for Fight Like Apes and co-frontwoman for Le Galaxie, she has brought high-energy performances and innovative songwriting to stages across the globe.

2025 saw her release her self titled, debut solo album, to huge critical acclaim.

In addition to her own projects, she has collaborated with several notable artists, including Elaine Mai, DJ Kormac, Jerry Fish, and Mik Pyro. She provided vocals and lyrics for DJ Kormac’s soundtrack for the BBC series The Diplomat and worked as a character voice actor on Fantasy Ireland, an animated series by Igloo Animations.

A seasoned presenter, MayKay is the host of Other Voices alongside Huw Stephens and Annie Mac, and has moderated many industry events, including Ireland Music Week, The Emerging Director Awards among many others.

With a strong commitment to social causes, she has served as an MC for numerous charity events, including fundraisers for the Matt Talbot Trust, a refugee camp in Palestine, and aid initiatives for Ukraine.

In 2024, she performed as a guest vocalist at Cork Opera House as part of the Cork Proms series and recently served as a guest lecturer at MTU Cork School of Music.
