Aby Coulibaly

Aby’s sound moves between soul, R&B, pop, and experimental textures, shaped by a lifelong connection to music that began in childhood. Playful yet deeply introspective, the 26-year-old artist first emerged in 2019 as an independent, arriving with a fully formed creative identity and an instinct for emotional storytelling. Influenced by reggae rhythms, Senegalese musical traditions, and the warmth of ’90s R&B, Aby began by sharing lyrics on SoundCloud in 2019 before releasing her first official track on Spotify in 2020. As audiences increasingly seek authenticity, she offers it wholeheartedly, choosing independence over major label pathways through her work with Chamomile Club, a creative collective alongside collaborators Monjola and MOIO. Together, they curate intimate listening sessions, events, and festivals, building a community-driven movement that continues to redefine what independence can look like in Ireland and beyond. They have sold out 1.5K cap venues and collaborated with Boiler Room and COLORS.

Over the years, Aby has established herself as one of Ireland’s most compelling rising voices, winning over audiences at major summer festivals including Radio 1’s Big Weekend and All Points East, making a memorable television debut on The Late Late Show and earning praise from tastemakers such as NME, RTÉ, The Irish Times, and Wonderland. In 2023, Coulibaly released her debut mixtape, At The End Of The Day… It’s Night, a project that doesn’t follow a single narrative but instead captures snapshots of different chapters in her life. She has since taken to some of the UK’s biggest stages, supporting artists including Coldplay, Olivia Dean, and Rejjie Snow.
