From our messages to our location, our search histories to our spending, we hand over much of our most private information to Big Tech companies, for whom that data has become one of the most valuable commodities on earth. Because many of those companies have their corporate headquarters and data centres in this country, Ireland has found itself at the centre of European debates about the regulation of privacy.
