“Alt-rock meets dark-pop" from Limerick City, Ireland. Fox Jaw are a musical brotherhood that have honed their craft over the last two decades across various musical projects. Comprising of Ronan Mitchell, Morgan Nolan, Shane Serrano, Kieran J. Sims & Manolis Pates. An independent band with a DIY ethic, they make sure to have a polished approach in all their creative outputs, with all music videos and artwork created by the band themselves, but most importantly, in their music they take pride to always have a distinct Irish touch. 2020 saw the band release ‘Breathe In The Strange’, their third studio album. Recorded at Even Audio with producer Mike Gavin of Windings and Mastered by Richard Dowling at Wav Mastering (David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Interpol). The band were unable to tour and promote the new album release due to Corona Virus lockdowns, but the band had anything but a quiet lockdown. For 10 weeks they released a new ‘Covid Cover’ video on their social media channels, with each musician recording their parts in isolation in their own cubbyholes across the country. Covering artists from Tom Waits, Britney Spears, The Specials, Amy Winehouse, George Michael and even Santana, rounding off their final video with a little help from over 20 artists across the world in their own isolated bubbles for their rendition of The Ramones’, ‘Baby I Love You’. Although only intended for social media, the Covid Covers have taken on a life of their own, with airplay by 2FM's Dan Hegarty and even the Library of Congress in Washington reaching out to add them to their archives. Following the success of the 'Covid Covers', Fox Jaw were very fortunate to be the recipients of the 2020 Dolores O’Riordan Music Bursary, to support the band in home recordings throughout the pandemic.Highlights from Fox Jaw's Other Voices performance will be show on RTÉ on 15 April at 11pm.
