Ellie O'Neill

Ellie O’Neill is an artist from County Meath, Ireland, whose music weaves a tender, expansive landscape exploring intimacy, loss, friendship, and queer identity. Working primarily with voice and acoustic guitar, her songs move between meditative minimalism and raw, grungy confession. Her writing unfolds as an archive of memory and dream, where repetition becomes a form of truth and emotional honesty remains central.

Blending lived experience with symbolic, dreamlike imagery, O’Neill resists conventional song structures, allowing pieces to evolve intuitively. Her work reflects her coming into queerness during a transformative period in Ireland, reclaiming narrative space through deeply personal lyricism.

She has toured widely across Ireland and the UK, supporting Adrianne Lenker and John Francis Flynn, and performing at festivals including Pitchfork London and Green Man. Now based in Dublin, her debut album Time of Fallow is out now.
