OV Cardigan: Check out the Music Trail day and times splits

The Music Trail is back and better than ever this year, with over 30 acts slated to perform across Cardigan most beloved venues from October 26-28. Check out the full programme below to plan your action-packed weekend of gigs! 🪩

Beyond the livestreamed performance in the Church, we've got some incredible live sets taking place along the Music Trail at this year's OV Cardigan.

This year's line up will feature the very best very best emerging acts on the scene from Wales, Ireland and beyond. Join us for three days and nights of incredible sets for just £35, with wristbands on sale now.

On THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26th, the stunning sounds of Mari Mathias and Cáit Ní Riain will kick off Cardigan proceedings in hypnotic style.

Irish talent Fia Moon will bring her luscious pop hits to Mwldan 4, while Belfast punk rockers Chalk are expected to bring an incendiary performance to the Mwldan 2 stage at 9pm. Dublin multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Rafino Murphy (aka Uly) is deeply influenced by pop, soul and jazz - don't miss his slot in the Cellar Bar.

Elsewhere, bi-lingual Americana/Roots singer songwriter Lowri Evans is bringing her blend of São Paulo and Manchester to the Mwldan 4 stage, while Welsh duo Samana (Rebecca Rose and Franklin Mockett) will showcase their unique mish-mash of dream-pop, psych-folk and blues.

If it's electronic music you're after, Welsh producer Minas is your guy - while the Welsh language will be represented in typically magical fashion by Bethel's folk star Gwilym Bowen Rhys. If you like your pop music with a dash of funk and soul, make sure to catch Natasha Watts at 9pm.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27 will undoubtedly leave music fans more than satisfied, with something for everyone on the Friday line up.

Highlights of the eclectic Friday night bill include Dublin six-piece rockers THUMPER setting the Castle Pavilion ablaze with a wall of noise from 10pm, plus British/West Indian singer-songwriter Dionne Bennett at Bar 45. The producer has crafted a diverse vocal style that covers all Afro culture influenced genres from jazz to rhythm & blues, soul, reggae, funk, rock and beyond.

Alt-folk pairing Lemoncello are starting the night off at 6:15pm in Mwldan 4, and what better way to kick off your Friday evening? Mullingar rising pop voice amy michelle has already signed to a major label, so you won't see as intimate a performance again. Pop by her set at 7:30pm in the same venue.

Wales' rising force in pop, Dead Method, visits Mwldan 4 at 9pm for a highly anticipated set, while R&B fans will adore MissFaithee at 10pm.

Finally, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28TH is a worthy conclusion to an epic Music Trail festival, featuring a thrilling DJ set from Belfast-based electronic producer (and Berghain alumni) Mount Palomar at 9:30pm in Bar 45 and a second outing from Cardiff hip-hop sensation Mace the Great at 10:30pm at Mwldan 2.

Welsh alternative pop artist Tara Bandito comes from wrestling royalty, and her synth-driven bangers are well worth a listen. Welsh alt rock is represented by HMS Morris, while Belfast folk maestro Joshua Burnside will light up the Small World Theatre at 10:15pm.

Derry artist Christian Donaghey, aka Autumns, will illustrate his outlet for electronic post-punk with a lethal pulse. He's definitely on our music see list!
