The tenth anniversary recordings also see the return of Intune Network’s live high definition screening of all the events in St. James’ Church to a number of pubs in the Dingle Main Street area including Benners Hotel, McCarthy’s Bar, Foxy John’s, Paul Geaney’s and An Droichead. The screenings mean that everyone enjoying Dingle that weekend can experience all the music and banter from the church, which is literally steps away, with the added bonus of a hot whiskey in hand! The atmosphere in Dingle on Other Voices weekend is electric, with a huge range of accommodation, restaurants and events to enjoy, not least the ‘after church’ sessions in Dingle’s Benners Hotel! A church ticket is not necessary for a great weekend of music and fun! This year sees the introduction of a local music and culture festival across the same weekend. Dingle’s Christmas Festival of Light (Feile Na Soilse) will run from December 1st to 4th and will see a huge amount of mostly free events running around the town: a Farmers Street Market offering delicious, fresh West Kerry produce, Other Voices Music Trails on the streets and in the pubs of Dingle, visit Santa under the sea at Oceanworld, guided walking and pony trekking tours of the region, great Christmas shopping bargains, open days at Dingle Crystal and the Dingle Brewery, a gorgeous festive street parade of lights and glorious Christmas choral events.
