Bell X1 released their fourth album Blue Lights On The Runway in February 2009 (the follow up to their multi-platinum selling Flock) and had an unexpected hit single with “The Great Defector” which topped the Irish Airplay Chart as well doing very well on the US airwaves.

Highlights of the year include the boys performing on David Letterman, supporting U2 at Croke Park and headlining Electric Picnic as well as 3 sold-out Olympia’s. The band toured the US and Europe twice in 2009 and plan to do more shows there in the New Year. Bell X1 are Paul Noonan, Dave Geraghty and Dominic Phillips.
